Matt Allen

Matt Allen enters his first year with Hands On Sports and Entertainment as Vice President of Sales where he brings over 13 years of tickets sales and management experience with him where in each year that he has served as a manager, director, or VP, his departments have seen an increase in revenue.

Matt comes to Hand On Sports and Entertainment from the San Jose Stealth of the National Lacrosse League where he served as Vice President of Sales and Promotions. Allen oversaw the Stealth's ticketing and promotions efforts including their Season Seats, Group Seats, and other Stealth special events programs. Last year, through the creation of new ticketing programs the Stealth saw an 84% increase in group sales revenue and a 20% increase in advance ticket sales revenue. In addition, the Stealth’s announced attendance was up over 35% over the 2008 Season which was the highest increase in franchise history and the largest in the National Lacrosse League.

Prior to the Stealth, Matt spent three seasons with the San Francisco Giants where he helped create, launch, and manage the Inside Sales department.  In his last season with the Giants, his department saw a 55% growth in season ticket revenue and a 30% revenue growth in group sales over the previous season despite the challenges on the field. The Inside Sales team also spearheaded a number successful ticket campaigns for non-Giants events such as The Emerald Bowl, a college football bowl game that features the Pac-Ten vs. the ACC and the San Francisco stop of AVP Beach Volleyball Tour in which produced the tours’ only sold out session of the 2007 season. In addition to overseeing the Inside Sales team, Allen also managed a $1M+ book of ticket business.

Matt has also worked in a variety of other sports including the Arena Football League (SJ SaberCats), NBA (LA Clippers) and a couple of minor league baseball teams in Southern California ending most recently as the Director of Sales and Game Day Operations for the Lancaster JetHawks Baseball Club where again, he oversaw revenue growth for each of his three seasons with the franchise.

When Allen is not working, Matt is involved in various youth sports including football and little league baseball coaching at his local Little League where he also serves as President of the Board of Directors. Matt currently resides in Santa Clara, California with his wife Unson and their two children, son Trevor and daughter Tabitha.
